Thoughtfully Designed & Carefully Printed in Small Batches
Welcome to Adventures in Print, a one-woman creative print studio by me, Pamela, a British printmaker and surface designer on a printing adventure; one season at a time.
I create original, modern linocut designs using traditional printmaking methods combined with colourful palettes and digital techniques. I'm ever inspired by the defining British seasons, woodland walks, forest finds and comforting moments.
My artwork celebrates the simple joy of nature found in the everyday. Each design is drawn then craved by hand at my home studio in South Norfolk, UK.

A Perfectly Imperfect Process

Hand Drawn
Pencil to paper is always how I start any project. I need the tactile feel of pencil on paper to get into flow and allow my ideas follow. Hand drawing lets me imagine how I will carve out the design line-by-line.
-
Traditional Methods
Carefully I carve away my design, deliberate and slow, from the block. Each piece of linoleum removed breathes life into the design. Each cut and gouge thoughtfully carved. Once I’ve finished carving I apply the inked up block onto paper to truly reveal the design.
-
Authentic Textures
The difference in pressure and ink application during the relief printmaking process allows for a very real, natural and tactile variation in each design. Every piece of artwork created is truly unique, with its own characteristics and flow. This is where I embrace the imperfections of it all.
