How are your botanical prints and stationery made?
Each design begins as an original, hand-carved linocut in my tiny Norfolk garden studio shed. Crafted using lino, carving tools, and patience. Once an original lino block is carved and test-printed, I scan the artwork to pair it with contemporary colour palettes. The finished artwork is then professionally digitally printed in small batches onto heavy, eco-friendly card stock and archival cotton paper. This hybrid process combines the rich, tactile character of traditional linocut carving with durable, vibrant digital print quality.
Where do you source your paper and card materials?
Sustainability is at the heart of everything I create. I use two primary heavy-weight paper stocks sourced through certified B Corp and FSC-certified UK paper merchants:
- Heavy Recycled UK Card: Used for correspondence notecards and folding garland cards. Made in the UK from 100% post-consumer waste, acid-free, and Carbon Balanced at source.
- Archival Cotton Paper: Used for signed fine art prints. Made from cotton linters (clothing industry by products), providing a rich, acid-free, tactile surface made to last.
How is my order packaged?
Your order is packaged completely plastic-free. Art prints and card sets are protected inside clear, compostable plant-starch bags (which look like cellophane but break down naturally). Orders are then securely shipped in sturdy, recyclable board-backed envelopes or cardboard boxes to ensure everything arrives safely.
How do I dispose of your plant-starch protective sleeves?
Clear protective sleeves are made from renewable plant starch (PLA) rather than plastic. They can be added to your home food waste bin or industrial composting system, where they break down naturally without leaving microplastics behind.
What sizes are your botanical art prints, and will they fit standard frames?
Yes! Art prints are produced in standard UK sizing, primarily A5 and A4. This makes finding off-the-shelf frames at local stockists or high-street shops wonderfully simple.
Do your art prints come framed?
To keep shipping safe, eco-friendly, and affordable, prints are sold unframed. They are delivered flat on sturdy backing board inside compostable sleeves so you can choose a frame that matches your personal interior style.
How should I care for my fine art prints to prevent fading?
Prints are digitally printed on heavy, acid-free 300gsm cotton paper designed to last for years. To keep colors vibrant, display artwork away from direct, harsh sunlight and high humidity (like unventilated bathrooms).
Can I mix and match greeting cards or notecard packs?
Yes! Multi-buy savings apply automatically at checkout:
- Luxury Cotton Cards & Garland Cards: Mix and match any 3 cards for £12, or any 6 for £18.
- Notecard Packs: Any 2 packs for £20.
Are your garland cards suitable for posting with a standard stamp?
Yes! When folded flat, garland cards fit standard C6 envelopes and can be posted within the UK using a regular Royal Mail Letter stamp. Our garland cards are sold with envelopes.
Do you ship internationally outside of the UK?
Yes! To ensure international taxes, VAT, and customs requirements are handled seamlessly for you, all orders shipping outside of the UK are routed through my Adventures in Print Etsy Shop. Simply click through to shop the full collection with smooth global delivery.
Do you ship to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland?
Currently, I'm unable to ship directly to Northern Ireland or the Republic of Ireland.
Following the EU General Product Safety Regulation (GPSR) rules introduced in 2024, small micro-businesses face significant ongoing compliance fees, administrative registration burdens, and legal EU/NI Authorised Representative requirements. As a small studio, these complex regulatory costs make direct shipping to Ireland and Northern Ireland unfeasible at present.
When will my order arrive?
UK orders are dispatched from Norfolk via Royal Mail Standard delivery within 1–3 business days. You will receive a notification as soon as your botanical treasures are on their way to you.
Do you accept custom lino commissions or wholesale enquiries?
I occasionally take on select commissions and wholesale stockists whose values align with slow living and British craft. Reach out via the Contact Page with details about your project or shop, and I'll get back to you with availability and trade catalogues.
