FAQs & Everything You Need to Know
A few questions that pop up regularly in my inbox - hopefully you'll find what you're looking for here! If not, please don't hesitate to drop me a message using the contact form and I'll get back to you as soon as I can. Happy to help, Pamela
Can you create custom designs or change colours on existing prints?
I love bringing custom ideas to life! Whether you have a specific botanical vision in mind or would like to see one of my existing designs in different colours, please get in touch and let's chat about what's possible.
For completely new custom linocut designs, I usually need around 14-21 working days to sketch, carve, and perfect your piece depending on size & complexity. If you'd like colour changes to something I've already created, that's much quicker - typically just 2-3 working days to have your personalized version ready.
Drop me a message with your ideas and I'll let you know exactly what we can create together!
What sizes do your beautiful prints and cards come in?
Each of my linocut designs is carefully printed in several sizes to suit different spaces and occasions. You'll find the exact dimensions listed on each product page, but here's what to expect:
Greeting Cards & Note Sets - A6 size (105 x 148mm when folded) - perfect for heartfelt messages
Garland Cards - Unfold to reveal 105 x 297mm of continuous botanical beauty, folding down to 105 x 74mm (roughly A7 size)
Art Prints - Available in A4 (210 x 297mm) for statement walls, or A5 (148 x 210mm) for cosy corners.
What materials do you use for your cards and prints?
I believe beautiful art should be earth kind too. That's why I thoughtfully choose each material for both its quality and environmental impact.
Art Prints & Beautiful Cards - Printed on 100% cotton paper, chosen for its longevity and acid-free properties so your prints can be treasured for years to come. The cotton fibres are cleverly sourced as a by-product from the clothing industry.
Correspondence stationery & Garland Cards - Made with 100% recycled fibres from post-consumer waste, FSC certified and acid-free.
Every choice is made with care - for the beauty of your prints and the wellbeing of our planet. You can read more about my commitment to sustainable printmaking.
I'm trying to order from overseas - why can't I complete checkout?
I wish I could send my botanical prints to every corner of the world, but as a small independent maker, I've had to make some difficult decisions about international shipping.
For EU countries (including Northern Ireland): Unfortunately, new product safety regulations introduced in December 2024 (GPSR) mean I can no longer ship to EU destinations. The compliance requirements are simply beyond what a small studio like mine can manage, though I hope this might change in the future.
For USA, Canada, and other international destinations: The wonderful news is you can still find my work on Etsy! They handle all the tax collection and paperwork, which means I can focus on what I do best - creating beautiful linocut prints for you.

Thank you for understanding - supporting small makers sometimes means navigating a few extra steps, but your patience means the world to independent artists like me.
Why aren't all your cards hand-printed?
What a lovely question! While my designs begin life as hand-carved linocuts, I've discovered that combining traditional printmaking with modern digital printing creates the best of both worlds.
This thoughtful approach allows me to bring you those vibrant, botanical colors that make each design sing, while keeping prices gentle on your purse. It also means I can experiment with delightful formats - from classic note cards to my signature concertina garland cards - that simply wouldn't be possible with traditional hand-printing alone.
Each print is still carefully produced in my studio by my own hands, maintaining that personal touch and quality you'd expect from an independent maker.
For collectors of original work: I do create limited edition, hand-pulled linocut prints for those who love the unique character that comes with traditional printmaking - you'll find these special pieces in their own section https://adventuresinprint.com/collections/original-linocut-prints
