While the dog rose blooms throughout summer, there's something about those peak July days when the whole hedgerow seems lit from within. This version of my dog rose linocut captures that particular warmth - sunset oranges and amber tones radiating around coral-pink blooms, as if the flowers themselves are catching the golden hour light.
Created in my Norfolk countryside studio where I'm surrounded by these very flowers, this print celebrates finding wonder in the familiar and beauty in what grows right outside our doors.

Every design begins as an original hand-carved lino block in my Norfolk studio shed before moving to my digital workspace, where I spend hours meticulously isolating carved lines and hand-painting intricate colour layers.
